Silicone Tube: Daily Disinfection, Maintenance & Notes

1. Daily Disinfection (2 Safe Methods)

Method 1: White Vinegar Disinfection (Recommended)

  1. Turn off the power and drain all remaining water from the silicone tube.
  2. Mix white vinegar and water at a ratio of 1:10, pour into the pipeline, and soak for 30–60 minutes.
  3. Drain the solution and rinse thoroughly with clean water until no vinegar smell remains.

Method 2: Food-Grade 3% Hydrogen Peroxide Disinfection

  1. Cut off power, drain water, then mix hydrogen peroxide with water at 1:20.
  2. Inject into the pipeline, soak for 15–20 minutes, then rinse repeatedly with clean water until odorless.
Disinfection Frequency
  • Home use: once every 1–2 months
  • Office use: once every 2 weeks
  • Summer: once a week

2. Daily Maintenance

  • Wipe the tube surface weekly and keep it dry.
  • Avoid bending, squeezing or exposing it to high temperatures.
  • Replace every 1–2 years; replace immediately if yellowing or cracking appears.
  • If not used for a long time, disinfect, drain water completely, and store in a dry place.

3. Important Notes

  • Always cut off power before disinfection; never operate with electricity on.
  • Use only food-grade disinfectants; industrial-grade products are strictly prohibited.
  • Rinse thoroughly after disinfection to avoid chemical residue.
  • Use only matching food-grade silicone tubes when replacing.
