Silicone Cake Molds – Product Introduction & Usage Notes
Silicone cake molds are high-temperature-resistant baking tools made from food-grade, eco-friendly silicone. They’re a popular type of silicone kitchenware, perfect for making cakes, breads, mousses, jellies, prepared foods, chocolates, puddings, fruit pies, and more.
As food-grade and eco-friendly products, they contain no toxic or harmful substances and won’t fade over time. They fully meet international certification standards like RoHS, FDA, and LFGB. Best of all, silicone cake molds can be custom-made to your needs—think animal shapes, fruit shapes, and any color you want. They’re both eye-catching and practical for home bakers and businesses alike.
Usage Notes for Silicone Cake Molds
Taking good care of your silicone cake molds will make them last longer. Follow these simple tips:
First, clean the mold properly. After the first use and every use after that, wash it with hot water (mixed with edible detergent) or put it in the dishwasher. Never use abrasive cleaners or scrubbing pads—these will scratch the surface. Always make sure the mold is completely dry before using it or putting it away.
When baking, place the silicone mold separately on a flat baking tray. Important: Never bake empty cavities! For example, if you have a 6-cavity mold and only fill 3 with batter, fill the other 3 with water. If you don’t, the mold will get damaged and won’t last as long. For easier release, lightly spray a little baking oil on the surface before adding batter.
Once baking is done, take the entire baking tray out of the oven. Transfer the baked goods to a cooling rack and let them cool completely before removing them from the mold.
Stick to the right appliances. Silicone cake molds are only suitable for ovens, toasters, and microwaves. Don’t use them directly on gas or electric stoves, heating plates, or under grills—this will ruin the mold.
Handle with care. Never use knives or sharp tools on the mold. Avoid heavy pressure, pulling, tearing, or rough impacts. These can cause permanent damage.
Finally, store them properly. Silicone cake molds attract dust easily because of static electricity. If you won’t use them for a long time, store them in a paper box in a cool, dry place.
