Silicone Tube: Daily Disinfection, Maintenance & Notes
1. Daily Disinfection (2 Safe Methods)
Method 1: White Vinegar Disinfection (Recommended)
- Turn off the power and drain all remaining water from the silicone tube.
- Mix white vinegar and water at a ratio of 1:10, pour into the pipeline, and soak for 30–60 minutes.
- Drain the solution and rinse thoroughly with clean water until no vinegar smell remains.
Method 2: Food-Grade 3% Hydrogen Peroxide Disinfection
- Cut off power, drain water, then mix hydrogen peroxide with water at 1:20.
- Inject into the pipeline, soak for 15–20 minutes, then rinse repeatedly with clean water until odorless.
Disinfection Frequency
- Home use: once every 1–2 months
- Office use: once every 2 weeks
- Summer: once a week
2. Daily Maintenance
- Wipe the tube surface weekly and keep it dry.
- Avoid bending, squeezing or exposing it to high temperatures.
- Replace every 1–2 years; replace immediately if yellowing or cracking appears.
- If not used for a long time, disinfect, drain water completely, and store in a dry place.
3. Important Notes
- Always cut off power before disinfection; never operate with electricity on.
- Use only food-grade disinfectants; industrial-grade products are strictly prohibited.
- Rinse thoroughly after disinfection to avoid chemical residue.
- Use only matching food-grade silicone tubes when replacing.
